Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were spotted together Saturday night at the Clive Davis and The Recording Academy’s Pre-Grammy Gala in New York City.

The extremely private duo, who have been rumored to be dating for a while now, were called out by Davis. Though they initially sat together at the same table, Holmes briefly walked out of the room a few moments before the gala host and music producer announced Foxx’s presence.

That prompted Davis to say, “This lady left the room right when I was going to introduce her. She was sitting at that table right with Jamie Foxx and everyone else.”

With Holmes by then sitting at another table, he added, “If you’re going to sit together, what better night than tonight?”

Foxx found the commentary hilarious, while Holmes looked more than a little uncomfortable to be “caught.”

Despite the mild awkwardness, Holmes, 39, and Foxx, 50, appeared to be happy and enjoying their time together in many of the shots captured at the event.

In addition to that time last September they were seen holding hands, the two have been spotted together on and off since 2013. They have not confirmed to the public that they’re in a relationship.

Whatever their status, they do look pretty good white girl black guy relationship.

Why are successful black men going for white girls?

successful black men going for white girls because:

1. They have a shared interests

2. They found a particular White woman that checked all the boxes for them (it wasn't that they were looking for this…but she was the perfect person for them)

3. They are dating them for selfish reasons

This is most likely true no matter the race or social / economic standing of the person.

I know broke Black men who date White women and I know rich Black men who don't. And, from what I can tell, the reasons for dating them fit into one of the reasons I mentioned above.

Incidentally… this is why a White person would date a Black person as well. I would imagine that the women the OP is referring to have a choice in the matter as well :).

Honestly, I don't see a correlation between wealth and racial dating practices.

Why white men view white women who have dated black men so negatively?

When many white women date black men it’s an attack against the masculinity and privilege of white men. That’s just not supposed to happen. White men have so much access in life their exclusive pick of women is or should be included in that access. It looks really bad in a lot of white guys minds when they see white women actually prefer black men. “I have a higher social status than he does, what’s she looking his way for?” says many white men.

The second reason is that the sexual prowess myth is out there and many white men feel that they just cannot compete with black men in this department. The stereotype is out there, we all “know it,” so there’s no sense in pretending it isn’t. Is it true? That doesn’t matter. Perception is everything.

And that makes many white men anxious. Out of the two reasons, this is probably the least important of the two. The attack on white masculinity and privilege is probably the far more damaging of the two.
